When I made my list, I wanted to include items of all “difficulty” levels. You would think that getting a professional massage would be one of the easiest items on that list. You’d think, upon gazing at my list, that I would have just hopped on down to one of San Francisco’s myriad massage centers and checked it off immediately. You’d think that, wouldn’t you?
But no. I did not do that. I thought to myself, “Oh, that will be a perfect thing to accomplish in the final weeks of my 30-before-30 project.”
And people, this is why we have friends. They give us the opportunity to take care of ourselves when we stubbornly refuse to do it.
On my birthday morning, I awoke to an email from True Massage and Wellness. It said that someone who loved me had gotten me a gift certificate: Sizzle! I could not believe it. I was so excited. I’m pretty sure I screamed.
So, last night I used my gift certificate.

I need a moment.

It was the SINGLE GREATEST HOUR of my life, people. If you have never done this, GO. GO NOW.
Thanks again to Miss Sizzle for making it happen! YOU ROCK, LADY!

Mmm. Massage. That sounds awesome.
Oh, it sounds like Sizzle needs all the love she can get today. Thanks, Sizzle!!
I am so so SO so glad you had a great massage! I truly think it is one of the best ways we can take care of ourselves. I hope you get another and NOT in 30 more years. You hear me?
Amen. Soooo worth it.

I love massages!
I usually get one a month (sometimes two!). I need it to keep my body functioning, since my job is really physically demanding. Standing/running/doing things for 10-14 hours a day can really wear a girl down.
I have a guy that I go to here in the Cities and I could not keep up the pace of my life without his services. Fer. Reals.
I’m sooo glad you got to go! Make it a habit — habits can be good, you know?!?
