2010 – The Year of Joy

January 1, 2010

I’ve made lists of resolutions or goals for the past several years, but I already have a list of things to do before my 30th birthday, which will take me the best part of the year. Instead of creating yet another set of items to check off, I thought I’d follow the lead of several other fabulous bloggers and give myself an inspiration word or personal mantra for the year.

This year, I choose to be joyful.

In 2010, I will approach my days as joyfully as possible. I will pursue happiness with a vengeance. I will consider joy to be an accomplishment of its own.

Happy New Year, Blogdom! May your year be full of joy!

I like that idea, and I think joyfulness is a great thing to aim for. Good luck, and I hope a lot of joy comes your way to help you along!

Sounds like a good plan, as joy tends to breed more joy.

that’s a great goal. i had a similar one for the month of december, and i found that once i DECIDED to be in a good mood, i was just able to, even when less-than-great stuff happened. cultivating joy is a worthwhile cause; i’m 100% behind you!! :)

I like this plan. It is both sensible and happy. I think I might just copy you!
