We drink an inordinate amount of sparkling wine in our house. Sundays are officially Mimosa Day and I bust out bubbly to celebrate just about anything.

Survived Hump Day? Toast! Clean laundry? Cheers! Doesn’t everyone celebrate a freshly mopped kitchen floor with bubbly? Because they should.

Anyway, there are usually at least 2 bottles of Martini & Rossi Asti Spumante in our fridge at any point in time, (it’s our favorite moderately-priced, everyday sparkling wine), but I’m going to have to give Korbel Rouge a try now. Assuming I can find any. (Our local Bevmo has failed me so far on this one.)

Fun! My weekend was exhausting, but good. I don’t think I accomplished anything though, and I definitely didn’t win any money. =)

Ohhhhhhhhhh, maaaann!! LOL I am so cracking up at this post this instant! I am with you: I hate the look of Toms shoes. I don’t know what the big deal is about them! Seriously. Number 3: ymmmmmm delicious! Making me hungry! And I think the one that made me laugh the most is number 7. Aaaaaahhhh!!! I hate it when people even WRITE about their “jeggings” and their “jorts”!!! Aaaaaahhhh! I feel like I’m gonna puke just having to think about those words. They are CUTOFFS, people. And denim leggings! That’s like saying, “look at my ‘jirt!’ Isn’t it cute?!?” In reference to a denim or chambray shirt. Oi!

I got convinced I needed a pair of red Toms by 100 people who swore they were soooooo comfortable. Guess what? They aren’t. I think Keds slip-ons would feel better.

I hate watching people drink wine “properly.” I think it’s so pretentious. Quit swishing and drink already.

It’s hip to hate Jonathan Safran Foer, but I LOVE him. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is one of my favorite books and I haven’t found a single other person who likes it.

My confession: I’m slowly and quietly stressing out about planning an elopement and surprise reception (a surprise for our friends, obviously not us) and I can’t tell anyone about it!!
Better news: I have an AMAZING chicken tikka masala recipe that is stupidly easy (if you cook, I suppose; if you’re not used to cooking, I probably wouldn’t start you out with this recipe–but it’s still really easy). And it’s the second-best tikka masala I’ve ever had (number one going to my friend Sid’s mother who came into town from India to visit her son). And I’ll share it with you if you’d like (or I could get around to finally posting it on my own blog too…).
***sorry about the super-rambly post; I’ve just gotten up and have been waiting on coffee to brew; I’m still a bit muddled.***

I think some styles of Tom’s shoes are kind of cute, but I refuse to pay $60 for a pair of shoes that look like they’re already about to fall apart.
